About Lindsey

I’m a self-taught mixed media painter born in Dallas, Texas in September of 1991. Ever since I can remember I’ve had a constant need to create.  I began creating art with charcoal and ink at 8 years old and started using oil and acrylic paints, along with other mediums, at 16. After high school I lived in different areas of the U.S. searching for my purpose.

Living by the ocean was a particular turning point for me. I remember watching the blue waves only to notice the green within the blue. Then, the yellow within the green. This continued through the whole color spectrum. When I made that connection, I saw colors differently in everything. All I wanted to do was dramatically emphasize all these colors on canvas. I created an ocean series and the more I painted, the more motivated I became and it naturally evolved into a side job.  Eventually, my love of colors and animals intertwined and I felt like I had found my niche. I enjoy challenging myself by blending different mediums together to create vibrant, eye-catching pieces. I’m drawn to art because of the lack of rules and guidelines, which allows me freedom to create. I believe that’s why there’s a huge reflection of each artist in every piece they make. To me, that’s absolutely thrilling. I hope my viewers are inspired to see the beauty in everything.
